These terms are an agreement between you and Mardania LLC (“we”, “us”), a California limited liability company and the operator of Kromia. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
Kromia is a browser tool for designing App Store and Google Play screenshots. You build slides in your browser, and the finished images are rendered on your own device and downloaded to it.
You need an account to save projects to our servers and to export. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure, and for everything done through it. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Designing is free and unlimited: you can create projects, use every template, frame and asset, and save your work. Exporting images requires an active paid plan. We offer a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, and a one-time lifetime purchase.
“Lifetime” means for as long as we operate Kromia as a service. It is not a promise that the service will run forever. If we ever shut it down, we will give at least 30 days’ notice so you can export your work, and you will not be charged again.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel; you can cancel at any time from your account page, and cancelling stops the next charge but does not refund the current period. Prices are shown before you pay, in US dollars, and sales tax or VAT is added where we are required to charge it.
If the service does not work as described, tell us at hello@kromia.app within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it. That is a promise we are making, not one the law makes for us, and we would rather refund you than argue.
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. Because a paid plan unlocks exporting immediately, you are asked at checkout to agree that we begin supplying it at once, which ends that withdrawal right once you export. If you have not exported anything, the 14 days still stand.
You keep all rights to the screenshots, text, images and designs you create or upload. We claim no ownership of them. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service: to store your files, and to transmit and display them back to you.
We do not use your projects to train models, and we do not show them to anyone else.
Device frames, templates, shapes and icons in the app are licensed to you for use in images you create with Kromia, including commercially. You may not extract them and redistribute them as artwork in their own right — for example, repackaging our frame library as a set of files, or building a competing asset library from them.
Some bundled artwork comes from third parties under open licences that require credit. Those credits are on our Credits & Licences page, and they travel with the artwork.
Device frames depict generic modern phone and tablet hardware. They are not supplied by, endorsed by, or affiliated with any device manufacturer. You are responsible for making sure the screenshots you publish meet the rules of the store you publish them to.
You agree not to use Kromia to:
We may suspend or close an account that does these things, and will tell you why unless we are legally prevented.
We aim to keep Kromia running and your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change or remove features. Where a change materially reduces what you paid for, we will tell you in advance and offer a pro-rata refund if you no longer want the service.
Keep your own copies. The app can save a project to a file on your computer at any time, and exports are downloaded to your device. We take backups, but you should not treat us as your only copy.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so they may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
You can stop using Kromia and delete your account whenever you like; deleting it removes your projects and uploaded files from our systems, and that cannot be undone. We may end the agreement if you break these terms.
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you — price, your rights, how your data is handled — we will email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If we cannot settle a dispute between us informally — and please write to hello@kromia.app first, because most things end there — it belongs in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California, and we each consent to their jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us. If a court finds one part unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing something once does not waive it. You may not transfer this agreement; we may, if we sell or reorganise the business, and we will tell you if that happens.
